This elevated highway offers sweeping views of the surrounding area. On a clear day you can see Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay from the many viewpoints along the way. In keeping with the Hakone theme, there is a short section called the “Melody Pave” (メロディーぺーブ). Driving over grooves on this road produces music Evangelion fans will recognise. Those into Initial D may also want to powerslide over to the nearby Hakone Turnpike.
